The high season for accommodation on the island of Ibiza (Eivissa) and the Balearic Islands in general falls between the middle of June and the early part of September, when the demand for hotels is at its greatest. This is especially so during the month of August, when lodging is most expensive on the island, particularly within Ibiza Town and around the main beach resorts, such as Cala es Figueral, Cala Llonga, Platja des Canar and also Ses Salines.
Most visitors arriving at Ibiza Airport (IBZ) choose to stay at one of the resorts dotted around the island. However, those looking for accommodation in close proximity to the air terminal will find the hotels in nearby Playa d'en Bossa, on the southerly side of the island, the most convenient option for reaching the airport.

Ibiza: City Hotels and Accommodation
The island of Ibiza is famous for its sun, sea and nightlife, with the most popular hotels lining the many sandy stretches of beach. Many budget options can be found in Ibiza Town itself, known locally as 'Ciutat d'Eivissa'. Located on the south-eastern side of the island, hotels in Eivissa are often close to the waterfront, with a number of cheap establishments clustered around the Passeig de Vara de Rey. Even hotels located on the western side of the town, in the Figueretes area, are never far from attractions and beaches, such as the Platja de Figueretes, Ses Salines and Es Cavallet.
Other popular resorts on Ibiza include Sant Antoni de Portmany, which is situated on the island's western coast and is brimming with high-rise beachfront hotels and busy restaurants. On the northern side of Eivissa, around Santa Eulària des Riu, you will find a range of accommodation aimed at families.
