Ibiza Airport (IBZ)
Travel and Ground Transport
(Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain)
Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is serviced by taxis, hotel shuttle buses and local buses, while hiring a car is also a popular option among visitors. The airport is accessible via two road routes, the PM-801 and the PM-803, allowing for easy access from Ibiza Town (Eivessa) and San Jose, from where there are a number of connecting routes to destinations across the island.
A typical journey to Ibiza Town takes about 20 minutes by taxi or alternatively buses depart on a regular basis.
The Ibiza Airport bus service departs every 30 minutes from outside the Arrivals area from 07:20 to 22:50. The journey to the terminus on Avenida Isidoro Macabich in Ibiza Town takes approximately 30 minutes and is inexpensive. There is adequate space for luggage storage on the Ibiza Airport bus. Connections to San Antonio, Sant Rafeal, St Jordi, Salinas, Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga and Santa Agnes can be made at Ibiza Town.
There are a number of private companies offering shuttle services from Ibiza Airport including Shuttle Direct and Resorthoppa. These are booked prior to you arrival at Ibiza Airport and are ideal for groups travelling together. Transfers can be made to any destination on the island and the price often works out to be cheaper than using Ibiza airport taxis.
Some Ibiza hotels offer a shuttle service from the airport to their hotel and it is normally the case that a hotel representative will meet you from Arrivals. You should enquire about this service with your hotel upon booking. If you are travelling on a package holiday, you will also be met by a representative who will arrange your transport to your hotel.
Ibiza Airport (IBZ) is well serviced by taxis, which can be found directly outside the Arrivals Hall. Taxis can only carry up to four passengers including children. Adapted taxis for disabled passengers are also available with advanced booking. Ibiza airport taxis operate according to a meter, with a minimum fare charge.
